Classic test methods such as the Erichsen cupping test and the deep-drawing cup test are still indispensable for the preparation of forming processes. However, they are increasingly being supplemented by alternative methods. New materials and their combinations, such as in vehicle construction, make it necessary to always select the most suitable test method.
