Description

The new GP 100 produces high-quality proof prints using gravure inks. The high-speed gravure tester is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled servo drive. The press-on process is carried out pneumatically using variably adjustable pressing speeds in the range of 1 to 100 m/min. An electronically engraved printing plate comes with this product. The GP100 is a valuable tool for all manufacturers and processors of rotogravure inks. It is also useful for creating quality control samples, for customer presentation purposes, for R&D and computerized colour formulations. The GP100 is easy to use and easy to clean.

Special features

  • Any flexible substrate can be printed on.
  • Excellent printing properties thanks to high speed of up to 100 m/min, based on production reality.
  • Simple cleaning thanks to easy-to-remove doctor blade.

Gravure printing

The printing ink is transferred directly from the electronically engraved printing plate, which has been doctored immediately beforehand, onto the substrate to be printed, which is fixed onto the rubber printing roller for this purpose. Squeegee and roller settings are made pneumatically, ensuring excellent repeatability for future proofs.

Printing plates

The new GP100 uses the same electronically engraved printing plate types as the already globally established PRINTING PROOFER. They are electronically engraved in the same way as production cylinders. Experience has shown that one or more of the standard printing plates available are sufficient for most applications. On request, the printing plates can also be provided with the company's own logo or company details.

Cleaning

The cleaning of the various components required after each print has been simplified by careful design. The doctor blade is easy to remove and the printing plate and rubber pressure roller are easily accessible for cleaning.
