Description

The automatic sample milling machine CORROCUTTER Smart 638 for standard-conform defined cut "scribe" line application on coated test panels for corrosion testing. Programmable process with excellent repeatability; incl. software for sample and cut positioning with preset programs as well as the possibility of setting own programs.

The automatic sample milling machine CORROCUTTER Smart 638 is a tabletop unit. The electromotive drive ensures a constant feed motion of the cutting tool.
All functions are controlled by a comfortable, easy-to-use WINDOWS control software (operating system from WIN7).

The newly developed software version V1.6 has extended functions, e.g. more selectable and freely definable milling patterns. Furthermore, it is possible to place the corrosion groove closer to the edges of the sample. Existing milling patterns can be automatically scaled to changed sample sizes. The extended software is compatible with systems already delivered.

The software and a USB cable 2.0 are included in the scope of supply.

Purpose and application

For standard-conform corrosion testing, the application of an accordingly conform defined cut “scribe“ line is inevitable. This “scribe“ line is commonly applied by a huge part of users in a manually handled manner.
But, a continuously growing number of users have to follow some changed proceeding, prescribed by several relevant standards. In fact, a mandatory prescription to use a milling machine or a rotating saw blade.
The automatic milling machine CORROCUTTER Smart 638 offers in comparison to the concept ot the rotating saw blades decisive advantages in handling, and is not least also due to its programmable process with excellent repeatability, the obvious solution for users who are no longer able to bridge their need by the manual methods.
