Roller Application Units
The final testing of printing inks requires their realistic application, if possible in compliance with all conditions that are also relevant later in the printing business. A test print on a large printing press is complex and therefore correspondingly expensive. Nevertheless, corresponding proofs are indispensable both during development and later in the so-called "pre-press" phase. Therefore, test prints are usually performed on a laboratory scale, with correspondingly small machines, which nevertheless operate according to the same methods.
