Hardness, Abrasion and Washability Testing
Within the subject area of coatings, the term hardness generally refers to the scratch resistance of coating materials. The assignment of this term to hardness, although physically not entirely correct, has grown historically in the industry and is well known. Basically, it is about the property of coating materials to resist moving mechanical influences in such a way that they leave as few traces as possible on the coating. Test equipment for assessing the washing and abrasion resistance as well as the cleanability of coatings. Due to the parameters that can be set in a wide range, individual test topics that can be specified according to requirements (e.g. for testing cleaning solutions, etc.) are also possible.
