New scratch hardness tester LINEARTESTER model 249 Smart (XL)
The further developed and modernly designed LINEARTESTER 249 Smart has numerous new features as well as an XL variant. A contemporary drive enables both higher feed rates and a constant speed for every type of test. Via the new control panel, the stroke length can be variably adjusted and the evaluated tool set-up can still be used.
The optimised scratch hardness tester LINEARTESTER 249 Smart can be used not only to determine the resistance of surfaces to scratching, but also for a variety of other purposes: scratch tests; double stroke abrasion tests; Crockmeter tests; MEK tests, solvent resistance tests in general or wipe tests.
The LINEARTESTER 249 Smart is a benchtop instrument that is operated via a capacitive LCD display. The electric motor drive ensures a smooth feed of the carriage. The lowering or raising of the test tool during scratch tests is done automatically. A wide range of different test tools is available (see ordering information in the technical description). The test tools marked accordingly in the table (*) are made of hard metal, which has also been provided with an extremely hard coating. Their "golden" appearance makes them immediately recognisable in the event of wear, as the colour of the carbide, which differs considerably, becomes visible at this point. With the optionally available universal adapter set (see last page), user-specific tool inserts can also be used if necessary.
